TKS Industrial Company Mechanical Design Engineer

TKS Industrial Company is looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer/Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.

Job Location: Troy, Michigan oR Columbus, Ohio


TKS Industrial Company is a world leader in in the engineering, design, and construction of turnkey paint finishing systems.  Our associates have the opportunity to collaborate throughout the full project cycle starting with detailing, guiding on site fabrication, and serving as a resource for the installation teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Models mechanical elements and develops construction drawings.
  • Uses historical design references and identifies viable solutions that can be applied to new projects. Identifies modifications required for design concepts to be properly applied.
  • Develops new design concepts or complex features based on collaboration with others and derives possible solutions.
  • Coordinates and directs the work effort of designers on the same project and provides final review of their work as necessary.

What you offer:

  • Seven (7) year minimum experience with mechanical design.
  • Expert in one of the following: Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD.
  • MEP design experience is a plus.
  • Manufacturing process equipment design experience is a plus.
  • Manufacturing process layout design experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong documentation and organization skills.
